Organic Food Served in Home Furnishing Store?
I was looking through the calalog of a relatively new home furnishing store in Frisco, Texas. IKEA is giaganic and seems to have anything you would possible want with great prices. Who would have thought that the restaurant in the store would have something for everyone, who would have thought they would serve organic food!
On the back inside cover of their catalog they are advertising their restaurant. There is a picture of an attractive pasta dish for only $1.99. That's typical you would think. Howerer, this dish is anything but typical for a fast food restaurant in a home furnishing store.organic IKEA
This dish is shown as "Penne pasta marinara. Organic and vegetarian." Also is NEW Children's Menu. It states: "Choose from 13 different items including: Organic pasta with tomato sauce or baby carrots with ranch dressing or organic apple sauce, just to name a few. All children's menu items priced at only 99 cents each."
This menu comes as a big surprise to me. You really don't find organic food in restaurants, who would have thought you would find it in IKEA? The person who came up with this idea of having organic food is a very smart individual. I'm sure the average person eating there has no idea that some of the items are organic or even cares, especially because of the low prices. And I'm sure that they have regular items on the menu, but this is something for everyone.
IKEA stores are located in various states throughout the country. I almost feel like I'm promoting the stores now. I hope that this is the beginning of a new trend that we will see more often now.
