Deli in Plano, Texas Uses Organic Ingredients

posted Sunday, 16 August 2009
Who would have thought that the deli that I go to in Plano, Texas would use a lot of organic ingredients in their foods.  I go there often to get my daughter a baked potato that she loves.  I always get it to go, and somehow, I have never looked at the menu.  But this time, I happened to pick it up to look at it while I waited.  And I am so glad that I did.

In my previous article, I talked about The Law of Attraction, which says what you focus on expands.  I have been focusing on restaurants in the area where I live that are relatively health conscious and have some organic or healthy choices.  That week, I was in the Panera Bread restaurant and was surprised to see the healthy choices that they have.  Although I have been getting my daughter a baked potato often from this restaurant, I just now happened to look at the menu.

The restaurant is Jason's deli.  The very first sentence on the menu says, "Welcome!  Everything we serve is FREE of artificial trans fats, MSG and except fountain drinks, high fructose corn syrup."

They have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, pasta, and soup.  Here are some of the healthy ingredients that they use:
  • Organic field greens
  • Multi grain ciabatta
  • Organic wheat wrap
  • Organic spinach
  • Organic stone ground mustard
  • Whole grain wheat Pumpkin seeds
  • Organic apples
  • Organic blue corn tortilla chips
  • Baked chips
  • Steamed veggies
  • Organic wheat wrap bread
  • Organic peanut butter and jelly
  • Organic apple juice
  • Organic milk
  • Organic carrots
  • Organic coffee
  • Organic crackers
I was reading an article today that said that Dallas, Texas has more restaurants per capita than New York City.  That's kind of hard to believe, but that's what the article said.  There are a lot of restaurant here.  There is something for everyone, including the health conscious.

If you live in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, then you also can go to a Jason's deli in your city.

If anyone has a restaurant in their city that is health conscious, I would love to hear about it. You can email me at mywellnesscoach@verizon.net.

I can hardly wait to see what restaurant the Law of Attraction will bring me to next.
